I want to be a teacher. I remind teachers who I met with because it is high that I will be a teacher like them.
When I was fifteen years old, I met the teacher who was a very strict woman. She had a big passion for improving students’ English abilities, but it was sometimes hard to me. I think that she considered students’ score is most important. She made me memorize words, grammar terms, and usages of these. And I had to take an exam in words. The words didn’t have any correlation each other, so I just wrote words on papers to memorize words. Sometimes, I did to sentences or whole lectures.

Surely, it immediately helped me reading English, but it could not do more. Some people say that it is effective because you can get reading skills. However, it’s not true. A purpose of a language is communication, so only reading something doesn’t have to mean about learning a language. Although I cannot agree with her teaching style, I understand her feelings. Because she had to make her students enter a high school, a way how students get a high score is dispensable to her. Though it can’t be helped, it can’t be justified on learning a language.
Her teaching style was effective about getting a high score, but it was ineffective about making good learner. I was bored because of the style, and loose fun of English. When she thought English, I had difficulty learning grammar terms let alone learning a usage of these. In fact, I had liked talking in English and watching English animation. However, what I study on school gave me stress rather than helps. So I think that it deprived my English interest.
The teaching only focused what I do. It didn’t consider what I think. Surely, I don't mean that they are bad. I just want to say that a teacher needs to consider about students' inside.
